Overview

While capable of inducing a functional and clear-headed high, this herb's body-stone is really where it’s at. She’s that perfect balance between creativity and relaxation...

A Calming Cocktail of Tropical Mango Charm

Bud Basics

Sometimes, the result of breeding marijuana strains together is surprising in its result - as is the case with Somango Regular, bred from three hugely different herbs: Super Skunk, Big Skunk Korean and Jack Herer. The result is an unusually delectable and aromatic weed with powerful mango notes, and leaning towards Indica, and a seriously stimulating recreational buzz.

Though the sweetness of this marijuana might remind you more of a sugar rush than anything else, her tropical mango smoke is actually more calming than it is enlivening. A great choice for evenings, nighttime or weekends, her THC content averages at around 20%.

While capable of inducing a functional and clear-headed high, this herb's body-stone is really where it’s at. She’s that perfect balance between creativity and relaxation to develop a masterpiece, and as such is a favorite amongst artists.

As a medical weed, Somango can lift the mood enough to relieve stress and anxiety, and is simultaneously calming enough to ease the symptoms of attention deficit disorders. She’s also a potent painkiller, and effective at relieving most mild and moderate pain complaints.

Regular seeds require a little more work than feminized variants, but are ideal for breeding - and once you’ve tried this herb, you’ll want a stash of your own. Somango responds well to training techniques thanks to her lateral branching and requires the usual temperature and humidity controls to thrive. A tall lady, she’ll easily fill your coffers with good-sized yields, and fill your grow room with a tropical cocktail of aromas.

Flavor and Fragrance of Somango Regular

If you’re a fan of sweet, mango aromas and sunny tropical beaches, then this hybrid strain is exactly what you need to feel like you’re relaxing with a cocktail by the sea. As you’ve likely guessed, Somango Regular has a predominantly mango scent to her buds, with faint hints of citrus fruits and a tempering earth note that keep the fragrance from being too sweet.

In taste, this herb is fairly similarly mango-centric, but with a light touch of vanilla on the exhale and a subtle spicy note that lingers on the tongue.

Effects

Not that fastest hitting weed on the market, Somango takes a minute or two to fully kick in, and it can be tempting to go in for a few more tokes. We’d recommend you try not to, and approach with caution, allowing this herb's high to settle in before you go back for more fruity flavor.

As a mostly Indica strain, it’s far simpler to sit back and chill, and take a moment to savor the taste on your tongue as a wash of relaxation overcomes your body.

Somango Reg generally begins with a clear-headed, euphoric stimulation that enhances the mood and gives you a burst of creative energy and focus. Without fogging up the mind, this effect keeps your mobility intact provided that you consume this weed in moderation. One to toke when you’ve still got to go about your day as normal.

If you’re trying to come up with new ideas, brainstorm, or if you’re just pursuing your more creative side and endeavors, then Somango is a great choice of strain. Capable of boosting your productivity, she’s most effective as a nighttime or evening strain, since she can induce giggling (not so much work appropriate) and sleepiness once her high begins to die down.

The trouble with strains this tasty is the tendency to want to overindulge - but at 20% THC, you don’t want to go overboard with this stuff. In addition to the usual dry eyes and cottonmouth (remedied by drinking plenty of water), this herb can also induce lightheadedness, dizziness, headaches, increased anxiety or paranoia in large doses, or in those with a sensitivity to THC.

Medical Uses of Somango Regular

Despite being more Indica than Sativa, the uplifting, cerebral effects of Somango Regular make her a choice medicinal marijuana (MMJ) for the treatment of the symptoms of stress, anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression and other mood disorders. Since she’s calming and improves focus, too, she can also be of use for patients with attention deficit disorders such as ADHD.

With potent analgesic properties, Somango is also capable of providing several hours worth of relief from physical ailments such as headaches and migraines, joint pain and arthritis and PMS. Like many marijuana strains, these buds also boost hunger, and for those struggling with a lack of appetite from eating disorders, or as a side effect of chemotherapy, this weed can bring back those feelings of ravenousness.

As the high of this herb begins to wind down, you’ll find yourself settling into a sensation of lethargy, the sedating effect of which can be ideal for patients who have insomnia and are in need of a deep and restful night’s sleep.

Growing Somango Regular Seeds

Somango Regular is a strain with limited needs, and though newbie growers might manage her well enough, she’ll grow best in the hands of a cultivator with a little experience.

Average to large in size, indoors these plants reach up to 4 feet in height, and up to 6 when grown alfresco. With long, lateral branches that showcase her Sativa genes, this plant is ideal for multi-branching and training techniques. Once she matures, her nugs will begin to show a sticky layer of trichomes that glitter beautifully.

A beauty further amplified when she’s exposed to cooler nighttime temperature toward the end of her flowering period, as this brings out those regal, purple hues.

Indoors, Somango grows best in organic soil with additions such as coco noir. A controlled environment is best for these beauties, as they need a constant temperature of 70° to 80°F to be maintained, and a Relative Humidity (RH) level of between 40% and 50%.

We recommend a Sea of Green (SOG) setup to boost yields, and she’ll flower for around 9 to 10 weeks before yielding 1 to 1.63 ounces of nugs per square foot.

Though indoors allows for more control, Somango Regular will also thrive outdoors, provided the climate is warm and sunny - think of locations such as the Mediterranean, Australia, southern parts of Europe and California. In the northern hemisphere, she’s ready for harvesting in the last week of October and will yield up to 12.3 to 19.4 ounces per plant.

Summary

A sweet and refreshing after-dinner dessert, Somango Regular delivers a slow-building, clear-headed effect that allows tokers to retain full functionality while enjoying a euphoric but calm high. Bursting with fresh, tropical mango notes and a warm vanilla aftertaste, this cannabis is ideal for creative types or those seeking stimulation and inspiration without an overpowering cerebral buzz.

As an MMJ, this weed functions to alleviate stress, anxiety, depression, calm those with ADHD, soothe those with insomnia to sleep, boost the appetite of those struggling with eating disorders, ease migraine and relieve joint pain. Basically, she’s a one weed wonder.

Cultivators love the simplicity of Somango Reg, though her lanky lateral tendencies require a little experience to manage well. She’s a good yielder for her size, with a short flowering cycle that means you can get your hands on these aromatic nugs as soon as possible. Just remember these are regular seeds, so if you’re not a breeder, you’ll want to remove makes from the batch to prevent pollination and make the most of your buds.
