Feminized Seeds

Yes, but only if they’re pollinated. An unpollinated feminized plant produces buds, not seeds. What those seeds grow into depends on the pollen. Pollen from a hermaphrodite or a reversed female yields mostly feminized seed, while pollen from a true male yields regular seed with a mix of males and females. Outdoors, stray pollen can drift in from nearby grows or feral hemp.

No, you can't clone a cannabis seed directly— but clones that come from cuttings taken off a mature feminized plant (not the seed itself) carry the same female genetics as the mother. Grow the seed out first, then take cuttings during vegetative growth, dip them in cloning gel, and root them under a humidity dome.

Yes, feminized seeds are worth buying — they cost more or less the same per seed as regular seeds but produce approximately twice the bud-bearing plants per dollar spent. The only growers who genuinely benefit from regular seeds are breeders who need male pollen and purists chasing rare genetics only available in regular form.
