Marijuana Seeds for Beginners

Autoflowering marijuana seeds take an average of 8 to 10 weeks from seed to harvest. Feminized photoperiod cannabis seeds take 12 to 16 weeks from seed to harvest depending on vegetative time and the strain's flowering period. Indica-dominant strains flower faster than sativa-dominant strains regardless of seed type.

Most first-time growers typically start with three or four cannabis seeds rather than a full tent's worth. Fewer plants mean each one gets closer attention, which matters most in the first few weeks after germination. The right number ultimately depends on your available space, equipment, and your local plant-count laws.

Cannabis seeds are classified as hemp under the 2018 Farm Bill, a status the DEA confirmed in 2022. Whether you can germinate or grow them depends on your state and local laws, so check those before ordering. We only sell seeds to adults 21 and older where lawful.
